Helping Appalachian Parents and Infants Pospartum Services
Eligibility:: Based on a combination of things like, your baby's health at birth, postpartum depression, parenting and difficulty with basic needs such as housing and transportation.
A combination of 24 monthly home visits, office visits or telephone contacts that include:
Counseling for Depression or Family Stress. Medication evaluations and Medications for Depression or Smoking Cessation. Smoking cessation programs. Medical evaluations for identified risk factors. Assistance with transportation to identified services. Link to other community resources. Link to other community resources.
A combination of 24 monthly home visits, office visits or telephone contacts that include:
- Periodic screening for Depression, Family Stress, other health behaviors and referral to needed services.
- Educational Curriculum covering topics including: Maternal Health, Infant/Child Health, Family/Relationships, and Goal Setting (education, employment and relationships).
Eligibility:Any woman who is a current Maternal Child Services client.
- Intitial Screening for:
- Depression
- Family Stress
- Smoking
- Oral Health Services:
- Dental Screening and Cleaning
- Oral Health Education
- A Philips Sonicare Toothbrush and Toothpaste
- Counseling for Depression or Family Stress
- Medication evaluation for Depression
- Smoking Cessation Program.
