Public Health Environmental Services

Public Health Environmental Services improves the living conditions within the community by promoting and protecting public health. PHES are mandated by the WV State Code and are vital to basic human health.

Sponsors of bake sales are required to register with the MCHD. Please complete the Bake Sale Form and return it to the MCHD prior to the bake sale.




Monongalia County Health Department Food Inspections
As a service to the public, restaurant inspections are provided on this site as an opportunity to share information which may assist the consumer in being well-informed as to conditions observed on the day of inspection.

Environmental Health conducts over forty-five programs to control the environmental factors that contribute to the spread of disease.
Monongalia County Clean Indoor Air
The Monongalia County Board of Health passed a clean indoor air regulation in January of 1992 and the regulation was amended in April of 1999.
