The mission of the Monongalia County Health Department is to achieve a healthy community by protecting and promoting public health through education, training, community awareness provision of health services and advocacy.


Public Health Nursing Services

The Public Health Nursing Services program offers comprehensive episodic care for specific populations. In addition, all basic public health services are offered. Physicians and nurse practitioners from the local medical community provide clinical services with assistance from the Public Health Nursing and support staff. The Public Health Nursing staff also provides community education and assistance in various areas of public health.
