COVID-19 Vaccine Information
Individuals ages 5 and up are eligible for a Pfizer COVID vaccine. Individuals 18 and up can get a Moderna vaccine. Make an appointment for a COVID vaccine at this link. Appointments are available on Wednesdays at the WVU Rec Center.

- As of May 12, 2021, the CDC has changed its previous guidelines to allow individuals to get other vaccines at the same time as the COVID-19, so there is no longer a two-week waiting period before the first dose and after the second dose.

Individuals attending any Monongalia County Health Department free community COVID-19 testing events can pre-register online at wv.getmycovidresult.com to expedite their experience.
Monongalia County Health Department is currently holding free PCR COVID-19 testing events at the WVU Rec Center for anyone who wants one. Times and dates will be updated above and also on MCHD's social media: Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. This PCR testing is conducted not only on symptomatic individuals but also asymptomatic individuals with results available within 24 hours via a website.
Also, WVU Medicine conducts testing Monday through Saturday at 6040 University Town Centre Drive. A provider order is needed for the testing at WVU Medicine.
