The Monongalia County Quick Response Team (QRT), funded by grants obtained by Monongalia County Health Department, was presented an award by U.S. William J. The QRT was recognized for Outstanding Community Drug Prevention.

The clear edged in blue on the left reads: Monongalia County Quick Response Team, Outstanding Community Drug Prevention, in recognition of its exceptional efforts to combat the drug epidemic and save lives.

The Monongalia County QRT was one of 11 individuals or groups recognized by the U.S. Attorney that day.

"It felt like it was a very good accomplishment for the QRT to be recognized for our efforts that we’ve made in the past few years," QRT coordinator Brittany Irick said afterward. "It felt good to be recognized – among the other people who were there."
