RSV, COVID and flu pose potential threat this winter

Dec. 14, 2022

West Virginia is facing a possible "tridemic" this fall as COVID, flu and RSV are expected to hit their peak.

Hospitals and emergency services may be overwhelmed with patients, so it is important to remember to only contact emergency medical services if you are having life-threatening symptoms such as chest pain, shortness of breath or confusion.

While there is no available vaccine for RSV, getting vaccinated against COVID and flu is the best way to protect yourself from getting sick. You can schedule a vaccine through MCHD here.
